The many ways you can stay involved in your student’s school community

  • Be a part of the biggest HSA fundraising event of the year! We need many hands to help with tasks such as securing auction items, transporting donations, data entry, event set up, organization, and more. Join us in making this event a success! 

  • Join us in planning the biggest HSA celebration of the year! From organizing and decorating to sourcing decor and vendors, as well as set up and clean up - we need your help to make this event unforgettable! 

  • The Eco Bears formed in 2019 to ensure SBA continually works toward the Mercy ministry of creation care. Throughout the year the Eco Bears hold collection drives, organize composting and recycling efforts throughout the school, and help further the eco-education of all SBA families with various fun events. 

  • Calling all dads! Join the inaugural year of SBA’s very own Grill Team! You’ll have the change to fire up the grill and serve delicious eats at the Fall Fair in September and other events of your choice. 

  • Each Grade Level has a minimum of three room parents, each with a specific role. Treasurer - Manages class funds Communication- handles updates and information sharing via Group Me Social/Events - Leads organization of class events and activities 

  • Join in welcoming our newest Bears! Help us brainstorm fun events and creative ways to connect, ensuring our new families experience our signature radical hospitality. 

  • Help bring fresh and engaging learning opportunities to our parent community. From guest speakers at school events to off-site workshops and bookclubs, let’s think outside the box and get creative! 

  • Join us in celebrating life’s joys and offering support during challenging times within our SBA community. Together we uplift and care for our SBA family. 

  • Help our librarian Ms Cunningham keep the SBA library ready to serve our students. 

  • Lend a hand in keeping SBA looking it’s best! Join us for occasional projects to maintain and improve our school. 

  • Help us offer greater opportunities for shopping hours for our community and keep the shop organized and neat by serving as a volunteer in the Swap and Shop 

  • Help organize and manage our newly forming Spirit Shop. 

  • Volunteer for set up, clean up, to work a station, bake a cake, and more! Details for sign up will be published in Bear Facts, on Social Media, the HSA Newsletter, and your grade specific GroupMe. 

  • We’ll need set-up and clean-up volunteers for this parent event.

  • SBA composts everyday! Hang out with our students during lunch to help them sort.
